Habermas again notes,
“the crux of the issue, then, is not whether there were real experiences, but
how we explain the nature of these early experiences.”[3]
Habermas then proceeds
to inquire into what these exegetes consider to be the cause of the apostolic

cause or a supernatural cause? Surprisingly, the vast majority of
exegetes believe that the cause was supernatural.
